This post is a brief introduction to our 16 Page Free e-Book on “How to find the right elder care for your family”. The e-book will be ready for download sometime next week, in the meantime enjoy the introduction, for it will cover some topics of interest.

A Not So Distant Scenario

Alone we can do so little. Together we can do so much. ~Helen Keller

Finding the right elder care for a family member is a lot like trying to build a house without a contractor, and without knowing the [ins] and [outs] of building your own home, … However it’s possible, many have done it and are doing it … that is until you have an issue with one of your subcontractors and the whole job comes to a scratching halt … then Chaos begins.

If you have ever been in a position where you’ve had to coordinate home health care for someone in a convalescent state, be it a Mom, Dad, Uncle, Brother or Sister, or a child with special needs … then you know what I’m referring to. It can not only be daunting from an “I need Help, but how?” standpoint, but also mentally and physically exhausting.

The difference between the “building the house” analogy and caring for someone at home is that the latter never ends. An end to the process only occurs when the person either passes away, or goes to a Long Term Care facility or Nursing Home, assuming you could afford to send them there. The statistics are evident, one in three of us will require some sort of Long Term Care in a not so distant future.

Caregiving can literally become a full time job, regardless of what else is going on in your life. “Elderly Health Issues” does not care about your demanding profession, your attention deserving kids or your properly balanced and healthy lifestyle.

Caregiving in general or the absence of it, will consume your time, finances and pretty much your life. The planning and attention that needs to be devoted to an arising situation should never be underplayed. It’s every bit a nightmare as the stories you’ve heard or scenarios you’ve seen a friend go through with their family. That is unless you are well prepared, informed and networked.

Due to these realities and in no small part to the experiences we’ve seen some of our clients and what families go through, we’ve decided to create the first of a series of e-books that address some of these caregiving issues.

Here are the topics will be covering:

  • Assessing your loved one’s current Eligibility
  • Finding a Caregiver
  • Rates and Pricing in your Local Area
  • How to leverage your Local Home Care Agency
  • Tax Tips for Elders and Caregivers

Some one once told me that there are no big problems, only problems that we didn’t address its early stages and then grew in complexity.

Caring for loved ones certainly falls in this category. Arm yourself with the right knowledge base now, and make this phase of your life or that of a loved one as natural a transition as possible.

Hope we can Help! :-)

Stay tuned or subscribe to our updates, and we’ll automatically send you a confirmation for the 16 Page Free e-book Download when it’s published next week.
